The Port Leaders Spain 2026 Mission brought together in Madrid and Valencia a delegation of authorities, managers and professionals from the Latin American maritime-port sector for an exchange of experiences and strategic vision with some of the most advanced ports in Europe.
During the day in Madrid, Isaac González de Vega, from Híades Business Patterns — Amura, presented ControlBoard, our solution aimed at operational visibility and real-time decision-making in port environments. His intervention, recognized by the organizers, did not propose digitalization from the implementation of isolated tools, but from a broader vision, connected and oriented to real use cases that generate impact. Beatriz Calzada Ojeda, president of the Port Authority of Las Palmas, which addressed the Atlantic as a strategic axis of global trade, as well as representatives of South Point Engineering and Firefly, which completed a block focused on safety, technology and operational efficiency.
The mission continued in Valencia, where the participants learned first-hand about the progress of the Port of Valencia, its digital ecosystem through the PCS and its main lines of innovation, including a technical visit to its facilities. A day made possible thanks to the collaboration of Valencia Port Control, Prácticos de Valencia S.L.P. and the Port Authority of Valencia.
Throughout the week, the delegation toured institutions, ports, terminals and innovation centers in Madrid, Valencia, Tarragona and Barcelona, including visits to Puertos del Estado, Fundación Valenciaport, CSP Spain, Port de Barcelona, Hutchison Ports BEST and the Port Authority of Las Palmas, among others.
The true value of Port Leaders does not lie only in the technical agenda, but in the dialogue between port systems, the links that are built between countries and the circulation of experiences that help accelerate modernization processes. A Latin American community of leaders connected to the world, convinced that port development is also productive, territorial and strategic development.
