Our partner Isaac Gonzalez, head of the business development department at Hiades, has been interviewed at the Special Puertos de Tribuna de Canarias, where it reviews how we have gone from being a generalist technology consultancy to becoming a benchmark in the digital transformation of the maritime-port sector.
In the conversation, Isaac explains the origin of Hiades from a development for port operators that ended up marking our strategy as a company, and how the Canary Islands, with the port authorities of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Las Palmas, has become a strategic enclave for testing and implementing technological solutions.
It also talks about two European projects in which we participate: NELSON, focused on the digitization of maritime traffic, and the Maritime Data Space of Spain (EDME), the first of its kind in the country, aimed at enabling the entire port chain, authorities, pilots, tugboats, consignees and other operators, to share information to operate more efficiently and sustainably.
Isaac also anticipates how we are addressing artificial intelligence within Hiades, with an internal committee dedicated to incorporating it with order and criteria, and what our growth objectives are in the short and medium term, both in Spain and in Latin America.
